Vict'GiSt:THE FIRST SECONDARY SCHOOL IN RIVER STATE HAS BE ABANDON (KASU)

KAANI STUDENTS' UNION (KASU) Led by Rt Hon Destiny Konwi is pleading on the Federal, State Government and every other relevant agencies to come to the aid of kaani people for a better restructuring of the community secondary school kaani.

In his words he said,
The Kaani Students' UnionKaani Students' Union painfully present the first Community Secondary School that was established and erected in Rivers State and was unanimously built by Bua  Kaani indigene, which is over 40 years old; and ever since then the Rivers State  Government have never visited this school in terms of development. Very bad.

We are not against the e-learning proposed by the Rivers State government but we are against the state of our educational sector in Rivers State.

Even before the pandemic pupils were still staying inside this type of building and learning, how do you expect them to learn via electronic medium when the equipments are not available.

The underlisted reasons why Bua Kaani is against the e-learning are:

1. Bua Kaani does not have electricity

2. Bua Kaani does not have good network service provider

3. Bua Kaani  does not have water to drink and stay alive during this pandemic.

4. Bua Kaani does not have ICT center neither do the pupils, students therein have gadget or smartphone.

It is worthy to note that this same school have given birth to Professors, Doctors and dignitaries in Rivers State  and Nigeria at large but none of those persons that benefited positively from the school have  visited the school.

As one of the leader of students body in my community, I am using this medium to call on the relevant authorities to come to our aid.
